Placet.
In Latin: “it feels right”.
That is the only standard we work to. Not trends, not styles, not what looks good in a photo.
The feeling when you walk into a room and something, quietly, unmistakably, clicks.
A studio born from displacement. And from the belief that home is not just a place. It is a feeling.
Sandra Placet was founded in Eindhoven in 2023. Not despite being far from home, because of it.
Living abroad teaches you something no design school does: what it means to lose your sense of place, and what it takes to rebuild it. That experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Good design works like good cooking. You start with the best ingredients. You don’t add more than necessary.
Our design language comes from earth, food, and the places we have lived. From Apulian cuisine we learned how to mix raw, local elements into something meaningful, genuine, and tasteful.
Connection. Craftsmanship. Texture. Memory. These are not just words. They are the ingredients of every project.
She is Italian. She is an architect. She draws by hand. And she has been an expat long enough to understand what home really means.
Shaped by the light of Puglia, the textures of Florence, and the way of living of Naples, Sandra Placet brought her Mediterranean soul to the Netherlands and found a city full of people looking for exactly what she had learned to build: a home that truly feels like theirs.
In October 2024, during Dutch Design Week, she opened the doors of Terracotta House. Nine days of bread, olive oil, and conversation around a kitchen table. Design as hospitality. Space as connection. See Convivio→
She does not start from a mood board. She starts from a conversation. Every project begins with listening, deep listening. Then come the colours, the materials, the furniture. Crafted with care. Selected Italian manufacturers, delivered to your door.
